Poker Training Manager

The **_Poker Training Manager_** will oversee our Poker Dealer School where he/she will work to continuously train and develop Poker Dealers who will deal poker games quickly, efficiently and accurately while promoting an exceptional guest experience for our guests. They will train new dealers to make decisions in the best interest of the game following specific rules, while maintaining integrity of the games and helping to grow the business through positive interactions with players and team members alike.

**Overview**:
We are looking for a bilingual and dynamic Poker Training Manager to join our poker operations team. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the dealer school runs smoothly and efficiently and developing dealers who are knowledgeable, well-trained and ready to become successful members of our Poker Dealer team. The dealer training manager has an acute understanding of the poker product and operational needs.
**Schedule**: _Full Time & permanent role: Typical schedule when school is in session 9AM-5PM Monday to Friday, when the school is not running, the workweek will consist of dealer meetings and evaluations which may occur in the evenings and/or on weekends so flexibility is required._
**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following**:

- Ensure the correct skills of poker are taught to the trainees.
- Ensure dealers are dealing cards accurately and procedural correctly.
- Conducting dealer assessments and training adhering to company procedures and standards.
- Training, coaching & counseling team members proactively.
- Providing constructive assessment of the dealers performance, highlighting the positive attributes and identifying areas of improvement.
- Planning and coordinating online and table tests.
- Assess the trainee’s and perform their final evaluation.
- Assist in the continuing development of the training and recruitment program.
- Prepare and update the training material/sessions.
- Create and schedule in new training groups.
- Participating in the selection and hiring process.
- Maintaining an open communication and sharing results with other departments involved in the selection process.
- Prepare and update the training material/sessions
- Perform other activities when training schools are not required: floor supervision and other projects related to improvements of staff performance
- Complete required training documents and reports ensuring compliance with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC)

**Requirements**:

- Must be bilingual (English & French) and 18 years or older.
- Minimum 2 years of solid experience working as a poker dealer.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and online platforms.
- Flexibility to work rotating schedules.
- Experience in training (considered an asset)
