Count Team Member

Playground is rapidly expanding and is currently seeking a dynamic, efficient and honest **_Count Team Member_** to join our Cage Operations team.

**_ Schedule: full-time role with start times at 6:00AM and 7:30AM - several positions to fill every day of the week_**

Reporting to the Count Team Supervisor and Cage Supervisor, the incumbent in this position is responsible for performing the activities of the Count Room(s) to ensure the integrity of all currency and chip counts derived from EGM’s and poker tables, as well as ensuring compliance with the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain protection of large amounts of chips and/or currency, ensuring loss prevention by showing great attention to detail.
- Ensure that procedures and proper controls are followed to protect counted receipts.
- Sustain close control of all activity in the Count Rooms by maintaining an awareness of changes and/or problems; which may affect the security of the currency and chips in the Count Rooms.
- Maintain visual and electronic surveillance of personnel to certify prevention of monetary loss.
- Perform and observe counts, review count slips, and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
- Transfer receipts to the Cage and the corresponding documentation to the accounting department on a daily basis.
- Order and stock parts for equipment repair to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Have knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
- Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
- Report illegal activity to Security and Surveillance or appropriate levels of Management.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Ability to identify, count and stack different denominations of gaming chips and currency
- Ability to move or lift full and empty cash/chips boxes weighing up to 20 pounds each
- Ability to remain standing for the majority of shift and efficiently move around the counting room area
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Flexibility with scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and extended
- hours)
- Fluency in English and French (written/spoken)
- Experience in counting, management and supervision is a strong asset

Relevant du Superviseur de l'Équipe de comptage et du Superviseur de la Cage, le titulaire est responsable de l'exécution des activités des Salles de comptage afin d'assurer l'intégrité de tous les comptes de devises et de jetons de table EGM et de poker, ainsi que la conformité aux règlements de la Kahnawake Gaming Commission(KGC).
