Treewalk is a fast-growing accounting advisory practice based out of downtown Vancouver specializing in helping companies go public and administrative management, primarily financial reporting for public companies. Our clients are from all industry sectors and are issuers on the TSX-V, CSE, NASDAQ, and OTC.

**The Opportunity**

The Analyst will focus on the newly created transaction advisory service line of Treewalk, and be at the forefront of the corporate finance and M&A function.

The Analyst will be a trusted resource to our transaction advisory clients, along with our existing clients who are emerging companies in the marketplace. For our transaction advisory clients, the analyst will assist in all aspects of the M&A deal flow as required by either the buyer, or seller, helping to be a value creator and ensuring the success of all parties in the deal. For our existing clients, the Analyst will be acting as a business partner to guarantee the client’s profitability. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting clients in various aspects such as financial planning and analysis, and financial modelling.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create and manage complex financial models to support forecasts and facilitate decision making, such as leveraged buyout and merger models
- Perform extensive work on financial due diligence engagements, including the assessment of quality of earnings, sustainability of EBITDA, quality of assets, working capital profile, and various other financial metrics
- Coordinate and facilitate data rooms, including working with other advisors on getting the required information for the deal
- Prepare detailed analysis on historical and projected financial performance
- Prepare and report findings to the board of directors: various financial analyses, including financial forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, product cost models and summary information for use in management reporting
- Conduct market and industry research to provide relevant information for deal teams, along with comparative benchmark valuations for companies in the go public process
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan and quarterly reforecasts and analyze actual vs. budgeted figures on an ongoing basis
- Work with stakeholders to review, approve and monitor variances from budget
- Other projects as required depending on business needs

**Qualifications and Experience**
- CPA (or passed CFE)
- Advanced data analysis and modelling skills in Google Sheets and/or Excel
- Understanding of the M&A process and deal flow is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - must be able to interact with and present findings to senior management
- Excellent time management skills
- Independent thinking and an interested in taking initiative
- Proven ability to multitask and follow up on actions/ issues

**Salary**: Up to $80,000.00 per year

**Education**:
