Fortis is a privately owned company based out of Saskatoon, SK that provides mining, engineering, and manufacturing services to the mining and construction industries. The company has a global focus that offers contracting, subcontracting, and consulting services to a wide range of customers.

We have an immediate need for highly motivated, safety-conscious **Ironworkers**. The Ironworker’s primary responsibilities include installing or dismantling structural steel according to engineered prints and quality standards. Quality work and timely completion of all aspects of work performed is required. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

**Project Details**:
14/7 schedule; 12-hour shift

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Install various types of rigging and other hoisting equipment
- Disassembly and/or removal of existing structural steel components
- Assemble and/or installation of new or modified structural steel components
- Operator hoisting and lifting devices
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**
- Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status; qualified Journeyperson preferred, willing to consider apprentice
- Valid fall protection certification
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Strong time-management skills
- Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial, but not required
