WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a talented Advanced Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management team. We are looking for someone with strong project management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to undertake and facilitate project procurement and supplier management activities. This role will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and will be integral to achieving CIT’s goals for successful new product introductions (NPI).

**Responsibilities**:
The Advanced Procurement Specialist focuses on ensuring consistent material readiness for projects that support NPI. This role ensures selected suppliers meet or exceed NPI’s project objectives including project budget, timeline milestones, quality, engineering/technical, commercial, capacity, and capability requirements.
- Collaborate with SCM functional teams (i.e., strategic sourcing, sustaining procurement, etc.) and work with suppliers to drive protype and design testing material readiness for entirety of a NPI BOM.
- Take ownership of SCM NPI and project-specific core-team activities, acting as a project-level SCM advocate, maintaining both internal and external relationships to drive execution of deliverables.
- Understanding and alignment with category specific sourcing strategies in supporting NPI and project procurement, reinforcing CIT’s “in region for region” approach.
- Manage the entire PO lifecycle to support execution of the various project-specific phases, such as EVT, DVT and PVT. Activities include expediting and confirmation of delivery, resolving AP issues, PO creation and approvals, PO acknowledgement, material item master data management, etc.
- Actively participate and support Supplier Performance and Relationship Management including supplier scorecards evaluation, examining and addressing cost of poor performance, supporting cost recovery activities, etc.

WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:

- Post secondary in Supply Chain Management, Business, and/or Engineering
- 3-5 years in a NPI Procurement or equivalent role
- 3-5 years of project or program management experience
- Language: English, native or full professional proficiency (written and verbal)
- The able to read and interpret part drawings and technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

- PMP certification

**Skills**:

- Advanced Microsoft Suite skillset, specifically Excel and PowerBI
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams of professionals, build trusting relationships and influence without authority
- The ability to prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced project and work environment
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Quick learner, who demonstrates critical thinking and quantitative analytical skills
