This role is a great opportunity for individuals who are beginning their HR career, and seeking exposure to all aspects of people operations in a rewarding work environment.
Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture (PaC), the PaC Assistant is primarily responsible for co-ordinating and supporting our recruitment and on-boarding processes in accordance with Shepherd Village policies and procedures, and legislative requirements. Other responsibilities include the administration & coordination of various PaC operations, including Staff Training and Student Placements, Occupational Health and Safety Committee, and HR Information databases.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in human resources management, and/or be working towards the C.H.R.P. designation; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in recruitment is preferred.
- Computer literacy, including intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office, HRIS and Learning Management Systems.
- Health & Safety certification an asset.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
