Sales Clerk/cashier

Job description
The sales clerk/cashier position is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers and for maintaining excellent store operating standards at all times.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintains a balanced float while on shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies
- Initiates opportunities for additional sales
- Faces and displays merchandise
- Ensures products are scanning correctly and advises management of any discrepancies
- Demonstrates consistent growth in product knowledge and product changes
- Handles products and operates equipment according to regulations and company policies and procedures
- Demonstrates a high level of professional and ethical standards by adhering to all company policies and procedures
- Participates in maintaining a prosperous and enjoyable work environment for all staff
- Assists in receiving and storing products according to company policy
- Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of all sales and related information for Urban Cellars
**We want our team members to have**:
- Previous cashier experience in a fast paced environment
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience in the retail or hospitality liquor industries
- Good math and problem solving skills
- **Must** have open availability and the flexibility to work nights and weekends
**Requirements**:
- **Must** be 19+ years of age
- **Must** have Serving it Right certificate
- Must be able to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time without an issue
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis without issue
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $13.75 per hour
Day range:
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Shift:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
Work setting:
- Liquor store
**Experience**:
- Cashiering: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Serve It Right Saskatchewan (required)
