The Sales Clerk/Cashier position is responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers and for maintaining excellent Store operating standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of customer service by establishing contact, greeting customers and ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Maintains a balanced float while on shift and counts cash drawer at end of shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies

  • Initiates opportunities for additional sales

  • Faces and displays merchandise

  • Ensures products are scanning correctly and advises Management of any discrepancies

  • Demonstrates a high level of professional and ethical standards by adhering to all Company policies and procedures

  • Handles products and operates equipment according to regulations and Company policies and procedures

  • Demonstrates consistent growth in product knowledge and product changes

  • Participates in maintaining a prosperous and enjoyable work environment for all staff

  • Assists in receiving and storing products according to Company policy

  • Maintains the privacy and confidentiality of all sales and related information for Urban Cellars

We want our team members to have:

Previous cashier experience in a fast-paced environment

Previous customer service experience

Experience working in the retail or hospitality liquor industries

Good math and problem-solving skills

We prefer you have Open availability and the flexibility to work nights and weekends as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be 19+ years of age

  • Must have Serving it Right certification

  • Must be able to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time without issue.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis without issue

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.60 per hour
