The Health Care Aide shall provide personal care and other services to residents in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.

**Shifts available (Full time or Part time hours)**:
1.
** **3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, working every second weekend

2. 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, working every second weekend

** Must be bilingual **

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides services and interacts with residents and resident family members in a professional manner.
- Complete all assigned paperwork.
- Administer medications to residents.
- Assists and attends to the care needs of the residents as required.
- Operates and cleans equipment, and furniture and cleans and maintains all areas related to residents as per work routines.
- Responsible for the cleaning of common areas and public facilities within the home.
- Assists in setting up the dining room for the following day’s meal service.
- Participates as a member of the care team and provides support to the other members of the Services team.
- Observes and adhere to all policies and procedures, work standards, and safety regulations.
- Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
- Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents.
- Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Tâches et responsabilités**:

- Rendre des services et interagir avec les résidents et leurs familles de manière professionnelle.
- Remplir tous les documents et formulaires exigés.
- Administrer des médicaments aux résidents;
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les membres du personnel de soin tout en apportant aide et soutien aux autres membres.
- Observer et se plier à toutes les politiques et procédures, normes de travail et règlements de sécurité en vigueur
- Aider et répondre aux besoins de soins des résidents.
- Veiller à maintenir un milieu de travail sain, propre et sécuritaire pour l’usager/résident, le personnel et les visiteurs
- Prendre connaissance des fonctions des superviseurs et employés et suivre toutes les politiques et procédures de santé et de sécurité en vigueur.
- Travailler en toute sécurité pour éviter tout risque de blessures attribuables au travail.
- Veiller au bien-être des résidents en tout temps, et être tenu de signaler toute situation à risque dans le lieu de travail.
- Porter un vêtement ou certains équipements de protection individuels appropriés, conformément aux exigences de la fiche de données de sécurité ou aux normes applicables dans l’entreprise.
- Assumer toute autre tâche confiée.
