**Job description**

Since 2000, Altima Cabinet Works Ltd. has been a locally owned and operated custom cabinet manufacturer located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We provide quality cabinetry and millwork to a wide range of clients and customers both locally, across Canada and the United States.

**Functional Responsibility**:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for timely and efficient scheduling and execution of the shop floor production, with the aid of the Plant Supervisor, Production Coordinator and Engineers.

**Principle Duties**:
**Engineering**
- Work with engineers to adhere to manufacturing standards, troubleshoot technical and software issues.
- During high workload or absence, fill in for engineering demands
- Establish and monitor engineering performance and issue reports to senior management
- Ensure the Engineering department is adhering to company procedures

**Production Planning**
- Work with installation and project managers to establish priorities and required timeframes
- Provide proactive updates and quickly address any scheduling conflicts or changes.
- Ensure materials for production are on time and in place

**Production Coordination**
- Work closely with manufacturing team to identify bottlenecks and prioritize urgent jobs while maintaining efficient workflow.
- Address production delays and adjust schedules accordingly while keeping all stakeholders informed.
- Ensure the quality standards process is adhered to and procedures are being followed throughout

**Reporting Requirements**
- Reporting to the senior management team, provide required reports and analysis along with recommendations for continuous improvement
- Monitor time sheets and shop floor labor for payroll and job costing purposes

**Required Experience & Qualifications**:

- Engineering Degree or Equivalent
- Experience in AutoCAD, Alpha Cam or equivalent software
- Experience in production planning and management in the manufacturing sector
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with management, production team, and project managers.
- Proficiency in scheduling software, ERP systems, MS Office and project management tools.
- Problem-solving skills to manage last-minute changes and keep projects on track.
- Knowledge of production lead times, material logistics, and installation processes
- Certification and training in areas such as Lean and Six Sigma.

**Condition of Employment**
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with access to a reliable vehicle
- This is not a remote position the work location is plant, in-person

Pay: $75,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
