**Overview**:
As a Parts & Service Associate, you will be greeting customers, and answering questions from customers and service providers. You will play a key role in providing proactive and valued solutions, and you will use your knowledge to build and maintain relationships, to understand customer problems and to explain their needs to staff for satisfactory service delivery. You will schedule appointments, process orders, and monitor delivery.
As a Lot Attendant, you will ensure that the property is clean and presentable, and you will maintain the grounds. You will also assist with delivering and/or picking up vehicles.
**Compensation**:$17.50/hr.
**Reports to**:Service Manager
**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:
- Greet all customers who enter the dealership and answering telephones in a professional, and courteous manner
- Interact with customers, listen to their questions and concerns, and provide timely responses.
- Serve as a link between customers and different departments in the dealership.
- Call customers about their repairs
- Book service appointments
- Locate and order parts using the internal computer system.
- Issue purchase orders to external suppliers.
- Maintain the parts inventory
- Maintain the dealership property (clean the yard, cut the grass)
- Deliver and/or pick up vehicles
**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to drive standard and automatic transmissions
- Must have proficient English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing). Bilingualist (English/French) is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent listening and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Take a flexible and adaptable approach to your work
- Knowledgeable in computer applicants such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and use of the internet
- The ability to perform the physical aspects of this hybrid role including sitting, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., squatting, pushing, pulling, and walking
