Client Services at GGP is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and professional environment for all refugees and immigrants engaging with our programs and services. As the first point of contact, your role includes providing personalized support, addressing immediate needs, making referrals, and guiding newcomers to Canada through settlement, employment, and integration processes. Client Services is part of a team which is responsible for ensuring programming and services enhance skill levels, social and professional networks, employment readiness, language abilities, and overall well-being of newcomers we serve. We are committed to connecting clients with relevant programs and services within GGP and the wider community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcomes, registers, and provides critical contact to clients
- Accurately assesses clients’ needs and develops a service plan that demonstrates the coordinating of appropriate interventions to support his/her settlement and employment goals. Such support may include information on immigration serving agencies, language training needs, job readiness skills, employment tools, affordable housing options, accessing financial resources and benefits, etc.
- Maintains data and file management to track and report registered clients and their progress
- Keeps up to date on GGP and community programs and services in order to be able to respond to and redirect general inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Supports program staff by calling clients, maintaining sign-up sheets, coordinating inquiries and services and helping with recruitment
- Provides individual employment counselling and facilitates group workshops
- Collects labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements and other occupational information
and options
- Ensures all interactions with stakeholders represent GGP as a professional, welcoming and produce accurate
monthly reports to the Program Manager

**Qualifications**:

- A University degree in the humanities, human resources, social sciences, or related area.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ working in the human service field with program planning and delivery.
