Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Team Leader for our Housekeeping department. The Team Leader will oversee a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of all hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. This role requires a blend of leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision and Leadership**: Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and to the highest standard.
- **Cleaning Standards**: Ensure all areas of the property (guest rooms, public spaces, offices, and restrooms) are cleaned and maintained to the hotel’s cleanliness standards.
- **Inventory and Supplies**: Oversee the inventory of housekeeping supplies, ensuring that all areas are fully stocked and supplies are used efficiently. Order supplies when necessary.
- **Scheduling and Shift Management**: Create, manage, and adjust the housekeeping staff schedule to ensure proper coverage throughout the day and night.
- **Quality Control**: Perform inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure that the hotel’s cleaning standards are consistently met and take corrective action as necessary.
- **Guest Satisfaction**: Address guest requests or complaints regarding cleanliness and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- **Training and Development**: Train new housekeeping staff on procedures, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards. Provide ongoing training to existing staff to improve performance and maintain standards.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure that housekeeping staff adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Monitor staff for compliance with proper cleaning methods and use of cleaning chemicals.
- **Reporting and Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of inventory, staff attendance, work schedules, and cleaning performance. Submit reports to the Housekeeping Manager or Operations Manager as required.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments (front desk, maintenance, etc.) to coordinate operations and ensure guest needs are met effectively.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or team leader role, preferably within a hotel or large facility.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage staff effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety procedures.
- A strong understanding of guest service and hospitality standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
