**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Primary Responsibilities:

- Performs general day-to-day maintenance of public, Guest and operational areas.
- Responsible for the interior and exterior upkeep of the property, including landscaping.
- Performs general repairs and overall maintenance to plumbing, electrical equipment and mechanical equipment.
- Responsible for the general outdoor maintenance.
- Responsible for maintaining pool cleanliness and pool balancing.
- Responsible to respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
- As hotel operations are 24 house this may require on call hours
- Having a thorough knowledge of The Inn of Waterloo products and services.
- Actively seeking ways to meet guests’ product or service needs.
- Actively lead the Preventative Maintenance Program
- Active role in the JH&S program
- Any and all other tasks as assigned

**Professional Requirements**:

- Minimum three (3) years experience in all phases of building maintenance is required as well as electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
- Experience in a hospitality environment an asset.
- Experience with painting, wallpapering, and gardening & lawn equipment.
- Certified Pool Operator is an asset.
- Possesses maintenance troubleshooting ability.
- General mechanical and technical knowledge.

**Physical Challenges**
- May require some standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting and manual labour.
- Ability to excel in fast paced and high stress work environment.
- May work with hazardous materials such as pool chemicals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Severn, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
