**We are looking for a Shop and Sign Manufacturing person to join our Oshawa depot.**
With direction from the Depot Manager, the Shop & Sign Manufacturing Worker will provide general inventory and sign manufacturing duties to support the day-to-day operations of the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manufacture signs including reading & understanding specs for sign orders, printing, cutting, and weaving signs, sheeting vinyl, work with vinyl cutters, cut plywood, masking, and weaving
- Fulfill and prepare orders for shipment - including retrieving items, printing labels, bundling, strapping, shrink wrapping, etc.
- Loading and off-loading deliveries, using a forklift where required.
- Occasionally making deliveries to customers, other shop locations or job sites as needed
- Keep assigned areas and sign inventory organized and tidy.
- Completing weekly and/or biweekly inventory cycle counts and report to Assistant Depot Manager.
- Advise the Depot Manager of low inventory supplies, shop conditions, and hazards in a timely manner to maintain workflow.
- Provide general housekeeping of yard and shop, including sweeping, taking out garbage, recycling, organizing equipment. Salt all entrance, exits and yard entrances in the winter months.
- Maintaining the safety, integrity, and tidiness of the depot facility by ensuring the proper functioning of various equipment, the readiness of trucks, and organization of supplies
- Attend weekly meetings with the Depot Manager to order sign supplies and discuss transactions.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, always including safe work policies.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business & customer needs

**You have**:
- Complete Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1-3 years’ work experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of power tools incl. saws & drills, and ability to use a measuring tape accurately
- Basic design knowledge is required
- Must have extensive computer skills; knowledge of sign lab software, Photoshop & CorelDraw an asset.
- Previous experience working with vinyl and vinyl cutters is an asset.
- Valid Class G license with a clean abstract
- Willing and able to drive a company vehicle
- Forklift certified or experience required
- Able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of Book 7 an asset
- Strong communication skills must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Highly adaptable, experience working in a fast-paced environment an asset.
- Flexibility to work overtime, later shifts, and/or weekends if required to support the needs of the business.
