**About the Role**

The **Solar Sales Specialist **is a self-motivated sales professional who wants to learn and grow in the clean energy industry. This is a full-time position based out of our Edmonton office. The primary objective of this role is to build a solid sales pipeline of solar projects to augment our existing business development and sales activities by improving our current sales strategy and process, leveraging relationships, and demonstrating our values. This individual knows how to hustle and grind to strategically turn leads into closed business.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Review and improve the company’s current sales strategy and processes
- Create and manage sales forecasts, set targets for company growth, and provide recommendations to management
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities
- Promptly follow up with all leads
- Create and provide proposals to customers
- Oversee and engage in contract negotiations to ensure terms meet the expectations of both the company and the customers
- Create relationships with businesses/individuals in our target market
- Maintain a company CRM database
- Bring passion, excitement, and positivity to the job
- Generate weekly sales reports and review with management
- Work closely with the Inferno Solar Operations teams to ensure projects are executed seamlessly after closing sales
- Develop a customer retention strategy to ensure long-term relationships, referrals, and repeat business

**Secondary Accountabilities**:

- Monitor and provide insights into competitor activities and industry trends to identify new opportunities to improve the company’s position in the market
- Participate in the creation of content for marketing, ensuring campaigns are aligned to sales goals
- As the company grows, help onboard, train, and mentor new sales employees as needed

**Qualifications Required**:

- 5+ years of successful commercial B2B sales experience
- Strong understanding of the electric utility industry and solar energy market
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing
- Genuine and authentic desire to help our corporate customers implement solar, EV charging, or battery solutions
- Highly driven and self-motivated
- Excellent communicator
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with businesses and key decision-makers in our market
- Ability to travel as required throughout Alberta
- Class 5 driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and CRM software
