**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team in a long term care home. We are currently seeking casual positions and a permanent part time position of three days a week.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing exercise, gym and walking plans for residents living in care with physical and cognitive decline.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the guidance of licensed physiotherapists.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the physiotherapist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in patient care, preferably within a hospital or acute care environment preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion while providing support to patients.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform tasks that may require lifting or moving patients safely.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $30.96 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
