The Faculty of Health Sciences ((FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres. The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).

**Course Information**:
**Transformative Directions in OT - Course Assistant**:
In this course students will explore directions in occupational therapy practice that use occupations as a catalyst for societal transformation. Students will examine contemporary approaches for transformative occupational therapy, gain an understanding of key critical theoretical underpinnings, and heighten their awareness of socio-political conditions that shape and perpetuate occupational inequities at local to global scales. Students will also explore the implications of various forms of diversity for enacting societal change and challenges to embracing transformative approaches.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

**Qualifications**:
In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position.
