Liquor Store Deliver Driver

Reporting directly to the Liquor Store Manager, this position is for a **Liquor Store Clerk & Deliver Driver**, a Part Time permanent position that provides prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients and customers at the Curvy Bottle Liquor Store and able to process and deliver outside vendor orders as required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Generate sales for liquor store;
- Serve customers, operate CLR POS system accurately;
- Maintain a high level of customer service;
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities such as marquee sign, starbursts, sales tags and stocking all product within store;
- Accurate creation and processing of liquor transfers to outlets;
- Performing distribution of all liquor purchases including proper and safe stocking, lifting, sorting, and processing;
- Ensure accuracy in monthly inventory counts and procedures;
- Participate in store maintenance and cleaning such as vacuuming, cleaning of all counters and shelving, dusting bottles, and cleaning glass;
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge;
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times;
- Able to read requisitions and fill orders from outside vendors and local business’;
- Drive to outside vendor locations and deliver requested alcoholic beverage order accurately and in a timely fashion;
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required**:

- Minimum of Grade 12 or GED equivalent preferred;
- Experience in retail sales preferred;
- Computer knowledge and skills;
- Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques;
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm;
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures;
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
- Pro-Serve, Pro -Tec, and WHMIS certified;
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis;
- Knowledge of the City of Red Deer and locations within the city an asset;
- Must have Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract;
- Will be required to provide current Criminal Record check;
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Must be fluent in English;
- Must be of minimum age or older to sell alcoholic beverages

**Physical Demands**:

- Frequent standing for long periods of time, with the ability to sit as necessary;
- Frequent lifts, pushes, pulls and or carries up to fifty (50) pounds;
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills;
- Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, bend at the wait and repeatedly stooping;
- Floor surfaces are concrete and carpet;
- Work environment is heated and air conditioned, potential to be around dust and varying temperatures throughout the seasons.

**Hours of Work**:
The hours of work for this position can vary depending on operational requirements, but can include and not limited to days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Part-time hours: 24 per week or more depending on availability
