**Job Description**:
Located in Montreal West Island, in Pointe-Claire, our factory is looking for an **_Instrumentation & Control Technician _**to join our amazing team. Relevant experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment is required. Permanent full-time position, unionized. **Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in the design and implementation of automated systems;
- Install, calibrate and maintain various instruments (probes, controllers, sensors, security curtains);
- Install, configure and modify programmable logic controllers;
- Work in collaboration with management to improve equipment;
- Develop directives related to the operation of equipment;
- Document the modifications made to the equipment;
- Keep an up-to-date record of instruments, their maintenance and calibration records;
- Contribute to the maintenance of electrical equipment and perform troubleshooting;
- Respond to emergency calls;
- Research required components and prepare purchase requests for repairs and projects;

- ** Bilingual (French, English);**:
- ** Hold a diploma of technical studies in instrumentation and control;**:
- ** Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and control;**:
- ** Hold a certificate in electricity (CE)**:
- Be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders such as suppliers, manufacturers or representatives;
- Be able to read, understand and modify electrical plans;
- Possess a high level of organization;
- Be resourceful, autonomous, imaginative and able to work under pressure.
Additional Information
**Working for Gentek means**:
- Permanent, full-time and stable position with possibility of advancement;
- Have group insurance paid 100% by the employer after 1 month of service;
- Paid personal days and paid Christmas holidays (from December 24 to January 2);
- Have a competitive salary of $63,460 to $70,512 per year;
