Joe Bird, one of Toronto’s Best Casual restaurants located in the Harbourfront area is looking for servers to join our growing team with unparalleled commitment to superb customer service and quality food and drinks.

**Essential Duties**
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Show knowledge of the food, Fix and bar menu (including ingredients and preparations), with the ability to make suggestions, and answer questions including allergies.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Maintain and follow all cleanliness procedures and standards set by manager.
- Greets guests as they enter the restaurant.
- Seats guests in an open section or at a reserved table.
- Provides guests with menus and ensures they are seated comfortably.
- Thank guests for dining at the restaurant when they leave.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Flexible schedule (available for weekends and nights a must.)
- Dedication to arriving on time for shifts.
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with touch bistro preferred.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Able to handle money accurately (including finishing cash outs properly)
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager. (including cleaning)
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills.
- Maintains professional but friendly demeanor.
- Is capable of remaining patient and polite when speaking to frustrated guests.
- Works well with a team.
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of all areas of the restaurant.
- Smart Serve certificate a must.
- Bar knowledge is an asset.
- High school diploma.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
