**Job Description - Collections Manager**
- **Department: Collections and Customer Service**:

- **Level: Manager**:

- **Reports to: COO**

**Purpose**

This role will be responsible for overseeing the Collection and Customer Service Team for department success. This role will require superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth, in line with business strategy.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years experience with managing a team in a collections environment or financial industry
- Exceptional Microsoft 365 program skills
- Experience with managing phone systems
- Diploma or degree an asset but not a requirement
- Working under tight deadlines and high pressure

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and oversee the implementation of existing and new policies and procedures for the department
- Send reports on customer delinquency status to upper management
- Continuous improvement on customer delinquency and the ability for the team to collect and recover accounts
- Oversee supervisor for scheduling and managing department schedule
- Identify training opportunities and develop employees for growth through the assessment process
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance within the area of expertise
- Manage the overall team providing both leadership and guidance and contribute to the development of business segment strategic priorities within the field of specialty
- Develop annual and long-term plans for own area and influence plans well beyond area managed
- Set targets and objectives for the team and deliver results
