**You as a VDC Coordinator will**:
- **Project Support**
- Interact with engineers and designers to quickly and accurately create drawings and 3D models during design process using CAD and or Revit software
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop a project specific process for utilizing or creating 3D information for the purpose of estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling, coordination, field layout and/or facilitates management
- Assists with the specification and evaluation of VDC/BIM requirements for subcontractors engaged on VDC/BIM enabled projects
- Perform various project duties related to on-site VDC/BIM deployment as required
- Perform clash detection and assists in developing solutions with the project team
- Communicate updated 3D site logistics plan and 4D modeling animation to project stakeholders
- Act as “Model Administrator” for assigned projects
- Assist other project staff in the use of VDC/BIM related software as required
- **Model Design**
- Create 3D Models of Architectural and MEP elements which are missing and necessary for visualization and design review purpose
- Chair coordination meeting with trades and suppliers and performs clash detections and assists in developing solutions with the project team
- Coordinate with VDC/BIM service providers and subcontractors
- Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions
- Coordinate 3D laser scans/points and surveys
- Accumulate facilities management related information from project stakeholders for incorporation into VDC/BIM model, as required
- Updated as-built and revised Building Information Model, keep revision log
- Distribute new and revised model showing changes and RFI answers
- Develop and manage BIM execution plans with project stakeholders
- **Quantity Take Off**
- Assist to verify original estimate quantities for cost reports
- Perform quantity survey, quantity review and system input for labor costing
- **4D Schedules**
- Assist in development of project schedule
- Assist in development of the modelling schedule
- Assist in development of installation sequence schedule
- Prepare 4D simulations
- Assist in developing coordination schedules
- **Trade Coordination**
- Assist in setting up and maintaining all control logs (RFIs, shop drawings, as-builts, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain submittal logs for VDC models
- Lead model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction/VDC meetings
- Assist in coordination of models with internal and subcontractor detailers and modelers
- Assist in development of installation sequence schedule
**Is this the right role for you**
- Undergraduate degree in Engineer. Construction Management, or Architecture
- 3-5 years’ experience working with VDC/BIM related software, primarily Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks
- Construction knowledge and/or related work experience and asset
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Strong computer skills
