Wirecomm Systems (2008), Inc. is a dynamic and growing company that provides residential telecom installation to major telecom companies throughout the region.

**Job description**

A directional driller/ locator is a method of installing underground pipelines, cables, and service conduits through trenchless methods. It involves the use of a directional drilling machine, and associated attachments, to accurately drill along the chosen bore path and back ream the required pipe.

Duties include:

- Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free
- Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment in a safe manner
- Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
- Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work
- Prepare the drilling fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing
- In conjunction with the locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and/or duct
- Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to a service technician for assistance or resolution
- Able to operate the drill locater as required
- Other duties as required

- Adhere to all Health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Required to have a minimum of a AZ or ARZ driver’s license with clean abstract
- Ability to operate Vermeer 20x30 Drills
- Ability to operate Ditch Witch 12x20, 9x22 Drills
- Ability to locate using the Subsite Locator as well DigiTrak Falcon system
- Experience in Telecom Outside The plant is an asset
- Experience working with Rogers infrastructure
- Ability to work outdoors and perform manual labor in all conditions
- Ability to operate horizontally directional drill and/or locator, 2 years experience preferred
- Ability to operate equipment around live utilities
- Ability to lift 50+lbs
- Need 3 references

**Experience**:
horizontal drill operating: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:
AZ/DZ License (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

$2000 bonus
