Manager, Communications plays a key role in activating the cultural transformation to build a provincial service delivery of laboratory services. This role is primarily responsible for leading internal communications for the organization and will work directly with the CEO, Executives and core leadership team as required. The Manager, Communications leads the development and implementation of communications strategies and platforms that enable DynaLIFE to effectively motivate the team, nourish our culture, drive strategic change initiatives and deliver business results.

**Major Functions and Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute communications initiatives under direction of Executive team and in partnership with other organizational leaders.
- Consult with leadership on their communication and change management strategies.
- Write and develop messaging around various topics, including company strategy, priorities, key initiatives, and announcements.
- Identify opportunities to share organization milestones with the broader company audience.
- Coordinate with functional leaders to implement consistent messaging across the organization; develops supporting communication tools (i.e., key messages, meeting guides, etc.) to support functional leaders in consistent communication of key corporate messages to their teams.
- Build, implement, and manage core communication processes and practices to establish communication excellence and innovation across the organization.
- Develop strategies and mechanisms to evaluate effectiveness of various communication channels across the organization.
- In consultation with the CEO and Executive team, sets direction and development external communication, public relations branding and marketing strategy for the organization.
- Provide direction, guidance and review any promotional or marketing materials and collateral (annual reports, research and white papers, website copy, etc.) to ensure consistent organization’s brand. Oversee and approve any company information or announcements before they’re released to the public to ensure they represent a positive company image before being published.
- Collaborate closely and align on key messages with the external communication consultant to ensure any external communication needs, public and media relationship requirements are met, and external communication is executed as needed.

**Required Skills**:

- Remain up to date on industry trends to stay ahead of the curve
- Exceptional writing, verbal communication, storytelling, and project management skills
- Strong visual design skills
- Must be able to think analytically and strategically
- Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
- Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines

Required Experience
- 3-5 years of related experience in a medium to large size corporation and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work
- Familiarity or experience working with CRM software is an asset
- Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field
- Change Management training or certification is an asset
