Plan A is currently looking for Developmental Services Workers to join our qualified, dedicated, and compassionate team of support staff.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Completion of a recognized DSW program (required)
- Live within 100km of the hiring location
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Hardworking, compassionate, positive, solution-oriented, professional, and flexible

*Plan A offers supplemental employment with no guarantee of hours, because of this, we are not a reason to relocate to the area.

**Job Summary**
A casual/supplemental position with Plan A is a great addition to any part-time or full-time schedule The specific responsibilities and duties vary slightly from home to home, as well as from shift to shift. These expectations will be communicated during the site-specific orientation to each home. DSWs are expected to provide support to residents, safely assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and other aspects of DSW duties. As a DSW with Plan A, you would be working in community agencies on an as-needed, shift-by-shift basis.

**Documents required prior to working**
- DSW diploma
- N95 Mask Fit
- CPR
- CPI certification
- TB 2 Step Test
- Flu shot (preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccine Receipt (including booster)
- Vulnerable Sector Check & Police Background Check
- 4 Step Health & Safety Awareness Certificate
- 5 Step Health & Safety Awareness Certificate
- WHMIS
- ADOA

Hourly wage is $24/hour with an additional 7$ hourly incentive for shifts posted with less than 12 hours' notice.

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Peterborough, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Naloxone / Narcan training (preferred)
