IT Help Desk Technician

**OVERVIEW**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide frontline technical support (hands-on and/or telephone inquiry) and assistance to local and remote locations.
- Must have strong knowledge of desktop operation, excellent trouble-shooting abilities and strong oral and written communication skills to assist with diagnoses and repairs.
- Responsible for purchases, setup, configuration, software/hardware installation & peripherals
- This includes PCs, laptops, Blackberry’s, PDAs, printers, scanners, faxes, etc.
- Also responsible for maintaining appropriate hardware/software inventory and for the procurement of computer equipment, supplies and software licenses
- Assist with Network Infrastructure Design & Development, System Security, User Accounts and Server Maintenance
- Cross-train to assist the IT Service and Support Technician or IT System Administrator

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Working toward a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in a IT help desk role.
- Work experience in manufacturing environment is beneficial to this role
- Must demonstrate solid project management ability, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Must contribute effectively in a team environment and embrace new challenges
- Creating and maintaining accurate system and process documentation is a requirement
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
