_Cumberland General store is a small business in Cumberland, BC V0R 1S0._

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Clerk/Cashier. As a representative of the business, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for customers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Greet and Assist Customers & answer and related questions
- Operate the cash register, accept payments, and provide accurate change.
- Stock and Organise merchandise selves, ensuring availability of products such as snacks, beverages, hot food and convenience items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gas station, such as restrooms, fuel islands, and store areas.
- Follow Safety Protocol and ensure the well-being of other staff, yourself and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily tasks, sales target and a positive workspace.

**Requirements**:

- Previous Customer Experience is Preferred, but Not Required.
- Excellent Communication and Interpreting Skills.
- Ability to Work in a Moderately High-Paced Environment
- Basic Math Skills to Accurately Operate Cash Register.
- Physical Stamina to Stand for Long Periods, Bend, and Lift up to 20 Pounds.
- Positive Attitude, Team-Oriented Mindset, and Willingness to Assist Fellow Colleagues.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $16.75 per hour

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Work setting:

- Convenience store

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cumberland, BC V0R 1S0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Serving It Right (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
