**Job description**

The Open Doors is currently recruiting a Youth Support Worker. This position runs from11:00- 7:00pm, Monday to Friday and includes the following;
- Provide daily support for youth that are receiving services.
- Coordinate service plans for youth in programs.
- Work with clients in the community to build a variety of skills including: food

preparation, clean up, laundry, budgeting and skills needed to maintain a healthy

lifestyle.
- Provide access to other Open Door and community supports.
- Respond to crisis when required.

**Requirements**:

- Post Secondary education in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate a genuine concern for the youth of our community.
- Understand and be able to work within a harm reduction model.
- Be able to work as a contributing member of a team both within and outside the

organization.
- Be able to work flexible hours and respond as needed.
- Be able to initiate conversations with youth.
- Be able to travel 15-30 stairs multiple times daily.
- Be able to lift up to 20lbs.
- Be able to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail.
- Be able to proficiently use and text on a cell phone.
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Clear Child Intervention Check
- Driver's license
- Driver's abstract
- Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated or have a medical exemption

**Job Types**: Full time

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.10 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Camrose, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work

**Experience**:

- Youth Support Work: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- driver's license (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.10 per hour
