uOttawa’s facilities encompass three main sites that are comprised of over 600,000 square meters of building space (over 6.4 million square feet), 42.5 hectares of grounds, 125 buildings and 4,500 beds in 11 residences. There are over 150 employees in Facilities, including Project Managers, Energy and Commissioning Specialists, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Architects, and space Planners. The facilities capital and operating expenditures are in the range of $100M for the University’s $2.0 billion assets under management. The 20-year Capital spending plan envisions $4.0 billion of new investment highlighted by uOttawa launch of project Top Shelf, a $300 million capital investment to build a new facility for the Faculty of Health Sciences at uOttawa’s River Campus, as well as a tower at the Roger Guidon campus to house uOttawa’s new Advanced Medical Research Center (AMRC).

**Position Purpose**:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, the Manager, Program Management, oversees the development of strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) programs for Facilities with the objective of achieving optimal performance, minimize downtime and reactive maintenance to ensure reliability of various asset types. Leads continuous improvement initiatives across multiple Facilities groups, linking project inventory updates to on-going asset and capital planning. Defines and implements a maintenance program management governance framework and structure that will ensure that all maintenance programs, which include the integrity and performance of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), are executed consistently through auditing and regular metric reviews. Ensures that all maintenance practices are continuously updated to exceed industry standards and best practices.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:

- Lead in the creation and implementation of the PPM program frameworks, the development of processes and implementation of tools to standardize maintenance practices, optimize maintenance performance, reduce maintenance costs and minimize unexpected equipment failures.
- Build and maintain a maintenance management framework per asset type establishing criticality and prioritization, on and off boarding data records templates and procedures, optimal maintenance standards and schedules and planning and comprehensive maintenance job plans.
- Develop and implement business processes, workflows, standards, documentation framework and procedures to ensure data integrity and performance of the CMMS.
- Design and build various reports, KPIs and reporting structures that will allow for continuous monitoring of maintenance programs performance, assets reliability, inventory, maintenance costs and CMMS integrity to support senior management decision-making.

**What you will bring**:

- Degree in a technical field associated with a minimum of 7 year’ of practical experience in building systems maintenance including at least 2 years in managing preventive/predictive maintenance programs with a focus on reliability and maintenance improvement.
- Extensive knowledge of, and experience in using CMMS (such as Archibus and/or Maximo), and in creating and using tables, along with databases, Microsoft Office Suite, mobile platforms and other software.
- Working knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices.
- Knowledge of, and experience in preparing technical and material reports.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively retrieve and analyze data. Experience in using business intelligence dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau).
- Detail oriented and organized with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Bilingualism — French and English (spoken and written) is an asset.
