**Overview**
**The contractor's hours may fluctuate to match the professional group. The summer season is very quiet, and there will be extremely limited hours available in the summer months when children are off school. There will typically be no hours available during breaks such as Christmas and Spring Break*.
**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients over the phone, providing a warm welcome and professional assistance.
- Manage incoming phone calls using office phone systems, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for team members.
- Maintain organized records and files, ensuring easy access to important documents.
- Provide customer service support by addressing client questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and filing.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall office efficiency: Business support errands around town.
**Qualifications**
- University degree
- Training or exposure to strict professional ethics.
- Above average writing skills. Proofreading or educational assessment experience.
- Previous experience in an office environment is preferred, particularly in a health/medical office setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately for data entry tasks.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong communication skills.
- French language bilingualism is an asset.
- Driver's license and vehicle is a requirement for the position.
- An ideal contractor is a former professional, like a teacher, whose children are in school, who wants to work a little bit during the day, most days of the work week.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
