I Have A Chance Support Services Ltd. is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will offer a comprehensive range of psychological services to adults dealing with challenges such as addiction, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve improved mental health and overall well-being. **Job type: Full-time**

**Compensation: $40-$45**

**Shift & Schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm - Friday 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Additional hours may be needed.**

**Location: Stony plain, AB.**

**Position Summary**

The Psychologist will serve as a positive role model and advocate for individuals receiving our services. This role involves assessing and diagnosing behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders, providing therapy, and supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals and maintaining overall well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct psychological assessments to diagnose behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Support individuals in understanding their personal rights and the rights of others, promoting self-advocacy and empowerment.
- Assist individuals in maintaining personal health, including physical, emotional, and social aspects.
- Advocate for individuals' freedom of belief, faith, religion, and culture, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with family, friends, and community members.
- Promote community inclusion by facilitating participation in social, recreational, and vocational activities.
- Report situations of suspected abuse and support individuals in identifying and reporting such situations, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, and client care managers, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in Person-Centered Planning Meetings to develop and review individualized service plans.
