**This is a sixteen month term position.** **Strategic Tasks** - **Assist in the maintenance of COR Audit, WCB, and External pre-qualifying programs.**: - **Ensure company HSE program meets or exceeds the Client site standards and policies.**: - **Maintain all reports, statistics and corrective actions for the company.**: - **Monitor and audit the performance of the team to ensure conformance to the Company HSE Management Program.**: - **Establish and communicate goals, strategy, direction and priorities with stakeholders.**: - **Maintain and update HSE Manual.** **Operational** - **Continually monitor, audit and maintain the company HSE program to ensure appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Client site.**: - **Work with Human Resources to coordinate all offers of modified work and WCB cases.**: - **Coordinate, monitor and supervise investigations of all incidents and near miss.**: - **Creation of site-specific documentation including JHS's, ERPs and project work plans.**: - **Assist, review and ensure compliance regulations, acts, code, laws and standards of the Occupational Health & Safety in order to identify potential hazards on the work site to minimize/prevent incidents and injuries.**: - **Determine client specific certification and training requirements for field staff.**: - **Create and update preventative maintenance program and accountability assignments.**: - **Routine visits to field locations to ensure continued alignment and provide support as required.** **Leadership** - **Supervise and support Field HSE Advisors and Project Managers on all aspects related to OHS.**: - **Champion new roll-up HSE programs.**: - **Create and lead annual HSE programs such "Fresh start" and "Finish Strong" campaigns.**: - **Prepare, lead and distribute monthly safety meetings.**: - **Complete Office and Shop Safety Inspections.**: **Education, Skills and Abilities Required** - ** NCSO designation**: - **OHS Diploma or Certificate**: - **Active Auditor Certificate**: - **CRSP designation is an asset**: - **Active H2S Alive or Awareness**: - **Active First Aid training**: - **CSTS**: - **Active Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract**: - **5 years of relevant HSE field experience in the oil & gas industry**: - **Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation**: - **Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills**: - **Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for safety excellence and taking initiative**: - **Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity**: - **Team player with the ability to work independently**: - **Abilities to work under pressure: respect deadlines, high expectations**: - **Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail** **Working Conditions** - ** Safety Sensitive position**: - **Office based (no-hybrid or remote work option available)**: - **Available outside of regular business hours for emergency situations**: - **Must be capable of performing tasks that require extended periods of standing, crouching, crawling, or kneeling**: - **Regular out of town travel is required (multi-day)**: - **May be exposed to high noise levels and hazards associated with live operating plants, industrial sites and remote work locations**: - **Able to meet client site-access requirements (D&A testing, clean-shaven, PPE etc.)
