**Mak learning academy is looking for qualified and motivated individuals to join our team. We are a private school in Coquitlam, BC that is seeking to hire a full-time tutor. We are a close-knit, high achieving team who values teamwork and collaboration.**

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to tutor in-person (no virtual tutoring)
- Must be able to tutor at least 4 hours per week
- Must be available Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 5:30
- Must have your own car (we provide transportation after training)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (no felonies or violent crimes)
- Must be able to pass an OTR License Check (no suspended licenses)
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Tutors must have at least 1 year of experience tutoring children in public school. Tutors must also have experience with online tutoring. Tutors can also provide tutoring for online courses if they have the right interest and experience. Tutors will receive annual bonus based on performance.

**Duties Include**:but not limited to:

- Providing students with instruction in reading, writing, math, and social skills through various methods of instruction and engaging games. Tutors will work with students on various material in their coursework and work with students to improve their learning skills through various methods of instruction. **Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-15 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coquitlam, BC V3C 4X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
