**The Opportunity**:
We’re looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team.

This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 151 Yonge St, Toronto, ON.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Audit the Internal Auditor will contribute to the facilitation of a systematic and ongoing internal evaluation of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes. As part of Aviso’s Internal Audit team, responsibilities include assisting in the planning and execution of the approved internal audit plan and other related projects, delivering results, and providing recommendations for improvements to enhance the effectiveness of internal controls and the control environment.

The Internal Auditor will contribute to the continuing development of Aviso’s Internal Audit Practices and the IA Quality Assurance Improvement Program.

**What your day looks like**:

- Conduct audit engagements and follow-up reviews as determined by the internal audit plan.
- Prepare audit working papers to document relevant information obtained.
- Analyze and evaluate the logic and evidence that support audit observations and conclusions.
- Deliver high quality work that is on time and in compliance with leading practices and IIA quality standards.
- Communicate with management to discuss audit findings and agree upon a course of action and/or solutions to mitigate the risks
- Become a trusted business partner to key stakeholders

**Requirements**:
**Your experience and skills**:

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or related field is required
- Experience within the financial services industry is an asset
- Experience in internal auditing is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
