Looking for a Class 1 Truck Driver

Athabaca Scrap Metal is now employing a Class 1 Truck driver.

The job will entail hauling scrap metal from various locations back to our scrap processing facility in Boyle, Hauling scrap metal directly to customers,and hauling machinery to job sites. This position will not suit somebody who is inactive and will look to limit themselves to just the driving seat. The position will require proactiveness, punctuality, and a mindset of attention to both their delegated tasks and equipment. Drivers will be required to perform the following tasks and responsibilities, and will be expected to adhere to the following worksite principles.
- proper loading and unloading procedure._
- Load securement (Chains and straps)_
- Daily equipment inspection and completion of Necessary documentation._
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment_
- Open and clear communication._
- Willingness to perform additional related work tasks_.

Work will be five days a week with full day shifts and will often require drivers to report to work on weekends. The initial checkpoint of all work will be at our yard in Boyle.

Wage will start at $38/hr and will be paid on a weekly basis.

We will consider both employees and self employed drivers for this position.

**Salary**: From $38.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
