Assist in program preparation and materials. **How do I qualify?**: **Mandatory**: - Community College certificate and/or equivalent training, education and working experience in a child - related field. - Current certification in Standard First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with AED. **Skills and Qualifications**:** Your background and experience enables you to meet the following requirements**: - Demonstrated experience working with children who are visually impaired and may have other emotional and behavioural disorders. - Knowledge of child development and an understanding of caring for children with special needs. - Knowledge of relevant legislation /policies /procedures /guidelines/practices that address student care and safety. - Excellent analytical, problem solving and observation skills to identify students' needs/difficulties. - Ability to communicate effectively with students who may have a variety of multiple exceptionalities in an educational setting. - Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. - Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) certification is an asset.
