Waste Control Services is a private, locally owned and operated recycling and waste management company providing sustainable waste solutions across the Greater Vancouver area. With our head office and shop in Coquitlam and a recycling facility in North Vancouver, we proudly serve residential, commercial, and industrial clients with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and community service.

**Who we’re looking for**:
We are currently hiring a **Part-Time Dispatcher** to join our Coquitlam team. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be the main point of contact for drivers in the field and play a key role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

**Schedule**:

- Fridays and Saturdays;
- Start time: Between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM (8-hour shift).

**Hourly Rate**:

- $24.04 - $28.85 per hour.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Respond to driver communications via 2-way fleet radio;
- Troubleshoot service issues in real-time;
- Enter, route, and sequence calls into the appropriate routes;
- Review route sheets and ensure tablets are logged out correctly;
- Update customer and route information in Trux;
- Answer inbound customer service calls and schedule service requests;
- Contact customers regarding operational concerns (e.g., access issues, service timing);
- Prepare and print route sheets with current operational information;
- Assist with other operational support as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous dispatch or operations experience preferred but not required;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to stay composed under time-sensitive situations;
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and database tools;
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment;
