**Basketball Instructor**

**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled **Basketball Instructor** to join our team. As a Basketball Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality basketball instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for all participants. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to the success of our programming. It's a great opportunity to make a positive impact, inspire young athletes, and help them grow both on and off the court.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement engaging basketball lessons and drills suitable for participants of varying skill levels and ages.
- Instruct participants on fundamental basketball techniques, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defensive strategies.
- Plan and organize fun and challenging basketball games and activities to enhance skill development and teamwork.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to participants to help them improve their basketball skills and confidence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during basketball sessions, adhering to all club policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive atmosphere.

**Qualifications**:

- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Previous experience playing basketball competitively or coaching/instructing basketball.
- NCCP Certification is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate campers.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and fostering their passion for basketball and sportsmanship.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
