**Position Summary**

As a Retail Sales Associate in a cannabis retail environment, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, guiding customers through product selections, and ensuring all sales are conducted in compliance with state and local regulations. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive and knowledgeable shopping experience for all guests.

**Job Duties**
- Greet customers and provide welcoming, informative, and professional experience.
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, and experience.
- Educate guests on cannabis products including strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, methods of consumption, and effects.
- Accurately verify customer ID and eligibility for purchase in compliance with legal requirements.
- Process transactions through the POS system, handle cash, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and cleanliness of the store.
- Replenish inventory and ensure products are properly labeled and organized.
- Stay current with product knowledge, promotions, and changes in regulations.
- Support compliance with all company policies and local/state cannabis laws.
- Handle customer concerns or escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Participate in daily store opening/closing tasks, security checks, and inventory review.
- Assist with regular stock counts, audits, and receiving deliveries.
- Alert management to low stock levels or discrepancies.
- Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by promptly reporting any unusual activity, suspected theft, or violations of store policies to management.
- Training as designated.

**Qualifications**
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- CannSell certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Cannabis industry experience a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass background check as required by law.
