HCS Contracting ON Ltd. provides project management and general contracting services for private and public landlords, co-operative housing, government agencies, and commercial and retail spaces in Ontario and Quebec. We are growing in the Cambridge area and are looking for a full-time Painter with experience working in construction relating to multi-family residential/high-rise buildings.

**Responsibilities**:
- Read blueprints/instructions to determine work needed
- Load/unload vehicle with all necessary tools, equipment, and materials
- Safely operate motor vehicle among worksites and warehouse location(s)
- Examine surfaces
- Make on-site preparations (set up scaffolding, cover fixtures and floors)
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the correct texture and/or or colour
- Paint surfaces according to instructions/work order using various methods and tools
- Complete all assigned training
- Adhere to all health and safety laws and regulations, policies, and procedures
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience with a minimum of five years of painting experience
- Valid Class G driver's licence with clear abstract and ability to safely operate motor vehicle to work sites
- Solid knowledge of commercial and residential painting techniques
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools such as brushes, caulking guns, etc.
- Good basic math skills
- Conscientious with great attention to detail
- Sound interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively
- Results-oriented with a focus on quality
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance and coordination to work on scaffolding, ladders, and other raised surfaces as needed
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lb.
- Able to bend and twist, crouch, kneel, and work in tight spaces
