Become a Manager, Employee Relations with MPAC The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is made up of a team of experts who understand local communities and assess every property in Ontario. What we do provides the very foundation that municipalities use to base the property taxes needed to pay for the services we use every day. Learn more > **Here’s what you will do as part of the team**: Provide advice and guidance to management on the implementation and administration of Employee and Labour Relations policies and procedures. Serve as a member of the Union/Management Committee (UMC) and maintain an ongoing positive labour/management relationship. Manage the administration of the grievance, workplace investigations/complaints, mediation, and arbitration procedure process and collaboratively determine appropriate corrective action. Manage health and safety, WSIB, short-term and long term disability, and attendance awareness processes and/or initiatives, ensuring compliance with related legislation, existing policies, collective agreement and organizational standards. Lead, execute and work with HR team to provide outstanding guidance to hiring managers on full cycle recruitment activities for all roles, ensuring alignment with established policies and procedures. Manage the development and implementation of succession planning program and tools, in partnership with Learning & Development to identify/manage succession strategies for key roles. Lead and execute on organizational design/reorganization initiatives, in partnership with Compensation & Benefits, ensuring employee/labour relations and legislative issues are addressed. Lead and mentor your team while fostering a creative, collaborative and empowered environment and promoting a customer-oriented service delivery approach. **Here’s what you will need to succeed**: A University Degree in Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant discipline. Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. A least 7 years of experience in a progressively responsible labour relations role within a broader public sector agency and /or medium to large sized private or public corporation with unionized workforces, including experience in health and safety. 3 or more years of labour relations experience in a leadership capacity. Strong results orientation with a track record of execution coupled with excellent communication skills. Effective negotiations skills with a strong ability to influence. Demonstrated ability to create and build multiple partnerships. **Nice to have**: Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, or in the process of obtaining.
