We are searching for a Director, Labour Relations**to join our Human Resources Team.

**About the Opportunity**
- Develop and implement labour relations strategies and best practices for the Company;
- Develop strategic and informed negotiating mandates for approval by operational and corporate leaders;
- Provides leadership for the company in collective bargaining and labour negotiations, including preparation and acting as Chief Negotiator for the company;
- Representing the company at arbitration hearings, administrative matters, and litigation in partnership with legal counsel as required;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with provincial and local union leadership, relevant government and regulatory bodies, and external labour/legal counsel;
- Maintain and track labour relations data (metrics & KPIs) on complaints, grievances, disciplines, performance management, etc. to identify themes and trends, and Provides analysis and interpretation of labour relations data to senior management to support better outcomes and reduce risk.
- Maintains a current data base of all Labour Relations documents;
- Responsible for the maintenance and development (as required) of the Company’s Human Resources policies;
**About You**
- Minimum of 15 years of HR and/or Labour Relations experience, with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
- Prior advocacy experience such as leading collective bargaining, arbitration hearings, mediations, and other labour and employment related proceedings.
- Prior experience with negotiating matters to resolution, preferably in a labour and employment context.
- Ability to Travel within NS, NB and Ontario as a required
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
