The SAAAC Autism Centre is a registered charity based in Toronto. The centre was founded in 2008 with the intention of empowering culturally and linguistically diverse families in need of ASD support.
The organization’s mandate is to provide culturally responsive services that encourage lifelong development of children, youth, and adults with autism; empower caregivers through education, training, and peer support networks; and increase access through community engagement and knowledge sharing.

**Your Role on Our Team**:
We are currently seeking applicants for full time and part time Speech-Language Pathologist positions in our Speech and Language program. This position will work directly with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families individually and in group settings to assess and provide speech-language intervention. Clinical supervision and guidance will be provided as needed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Assessment using standardized and non-standardized tools and professional judgement to identify and evaluate speech and language skills of children and adults with ASD
- Deliver client-specific speech-language interventions for children and adults with ASD
- Work one to one with clients or in a small group setting in person and virtually
- Provide parent training as need
- Participate in team meetings
- Supervise CDAs and placement students as needed
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Registered Speech Language Pathologist in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of speech language assessment batteries and intervention techniques
- Ability to work independently, prioritize professional duties, manage multiple clients, and efficiently organize workload
- Proven experience working with children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders
- 2-3 years of experience is preferred
- Excellent consultative skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and set priorities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
- After school and weekend availability required
