**Job Description**:
We are looking for a full time Bell Person with an outgoing, service oriented personality to join our Front Office team. The position will require scheduling availability to work a variety of shifts, inclusive of weekends, holidays and as/when may be required, split shifts (depending on occupancy levels). Other shifts as may be required due to vacation relief and/or business levels.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Providing luggage assistance to guests, including loading and unloading of luggage carts
- Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities. Inspect guest's room to ensure it is in order and that supplies are adequate
- Explain features of the room including operation of radio, television, telephone, etc
- Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags
- Assist guests with room changes
- Assist checking daily departing rooms
- Assist Houseperson with guest requests
- Deliveries to guest rooms inclusive of but not limited to flowers, laundry, and packages
- Directing/escorting guests to meeting rooms
- Providing directions to various attractions throughout the city, maintaining current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities, providing maps as required
- Assisting guests with reservations for limousines and rental vehicles
- Assisting with the Check-in/check out processes and accommodating guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Manager on Duty, Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and/or General Manager

Job Requirements:

- Must portray a friendly, warm and welcoming demeanor at all times
- Must have **excellent verbal and written communication** and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns that may be raised by associates and/or guests
- Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines and service levels
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Marriott standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag
- Comply with standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify areas of concern and assist in implementing solutions
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must be able to understand complex information, data, etc from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
- Must have excellent knowledge of Richmond Hill, Markham, Toronto and surrounding areas
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with Galaxy Light Speed and Opera systems an asset

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
