**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Greet patients and manage front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
- Assist with patient care by preparing patients for examinations and providing support during procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Epic.
- Conduct preliminary tests and gather patient history to assist the optometrist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options, leveraging optical experience when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality patient service.
- Measure and dispense spectacle and contact lenses and maintain orders.
- Handle retail sales of optical products, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the purchasing process.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Provide assistance in pediatrics as needed, ensuring a comfortable environment for younger patients.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is required; optometric or optical experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.
- Strong background in patient care and front desk operations is essential.
- Experience in retail sales or sales techniques will be beneficial for assisting patients with eyewear purchases.
