**Position Overview**

As a **Local**Tax and Member Services Advisor**, you will meet with FBC Members in their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. In addition, you will introduce them to our full range of services, including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management, as their needs arise.

This position is based out of our **FBC Barrie, ON** location. You will be expected to work onsite as required.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Tax Advisor, you will:

- Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.
- Onboard new FBC Members: Ensuring their needs are understood and a seamless, client-focused experience.
- This includes reviewing the Member’s prior tax returns and bookkeeping, analyzing CRA accounts, and completing any outstanding filings or bookkeeping tasks.
- Conduct Member reviews.
- Meet with members in their place of business.
- Support seasonal and year-round reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.
- Foster strong relationships with Members and secure member referrals.
- Recognize member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.

**What you Will Bring**

**Education and Experience**
- Comprehensive exposure to a full corporate tax cycle, including preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, specifically with Taxprep/IFirm, TaxCycle or Profile.
- Strong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations.
- Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses.

**Other Requirements**:

- Please note that this is a role that requires travel. A reliable vehicle is necessary.
