**CAREER OPPORTUNITY**
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Receive, organize and manage purchasing requisitions from sales, production, service, and engineering
- Work with the production manager and the warehouse manager to optimize inventory levels to support production through the establishment of inventory management best practices
- Work with the production manager and the engineering manager to establish inventory min/max levels
- Review products and vendors on a continual basis to identify both alternative products and/or vendors to improve supply chain or pricing
- Evaluate and rate vendors based on performance and report up to senior management
- Report back on Key Performance Indicators such as:
- On-time delivery of components
- On-time receipt of purchase requisitions for projects
- Monthly savings on procurement initiatives
- Establish favourable terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors for equipment and services
- Negotiate the best price and delivery costs
- Follow the ASC limits of authority for procurement activities
- Prepare and send purchase orders
- Hold vendors accountable for issued purchase orders
- Follow up on purchases, ensure on-time delivery, report back status to requisition owners
- Liaise with project members and vendors to solve order discrepancies
- Utilize modern procurement techniques to save cost on materials and shipping
**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- APICS, ISM, NCMA or equivalent designation as a supply chain professional is preferred
- 5+ years experience in procurement or supply chain
- Customer focus, creative problem solver, and a desire to win
- Professional demeanour
