**Salary Range**:$105,000 - $150,000/yr. Base + Commission

Times of significant change bring great opportunity CMLS is looking to capitalize on opportunity with your help. We are looking for a Vice President, Real Estate Finance to join our team based in Montreal. You will be responsible for originating commercial mortgages for the Quebec market. The role aims to further CMLS’s position as a leader in commercial mortgages by proactively selling and marketing CMLS’ full range of commercial lending options including our growing Advisory line of business. Focused on real-estate investors, this role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships.

You will provide timely and proactive support including:

- Leveraging both your and our network of key contacts/resources to source potential new business opportunities for CMLS’ full range of business products;
- Sourcing new commercial real estate finance opportunities;
- Demonstrating skill in financial analysis to determine borrower lending options;
- An ability to negotiate to develop needs-based solutions and presents proposals to potential borrowers which effectively satisfy borrower needs within CMLS objectives;
- Working with the CMLS team in completing and delivering mortgage presentations by assessing and preparing relevant information on the borrower’s behalf;
- Actively seeking out and sharing information regarding market changes and competitive activity that is utilized to develop key market strategies;
- Acting as representative for CMLS, liaising with internal stakeholders and with external influencers to achieve business growth and build strong ties in the business community

**This role is for you if**:

- You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting or business administration;
- You have 5+ years’ experience in commercial mortgage lending -with a commercial mortgage firm, a major Financial Institution or other commercial lending group;
- You are licensed as a mortgage broker or agent in Ontario prior to successfully filling the role;
- You have proven strong communication skills with an ability to problem solve, negotiate and manage conflict;
- You have experience to create and deliver business presentations, including experience with public speaking;
- You have relationship management skills including the ability to establish and maintain a network of key contacts and resources in addition to being able to attract new clients;
- You are a motivated self-starter who is very results driven; and
- You possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to provide flexible solutions to our clients
