**Job Summary**
The Material Handler will be responsible for operating but not limited to a Forklift, bobcat, and or skid steer. The material handler will be responsible for making sure all in-bound and out-bound pallets/inventory are tagged correctly. The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and handling of materials and products within a warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role ensures that materials are delivered to the appropriate locations and maintains inventory accuracy
**Responsibilities**:
Outlined below are few primary job duties, constituting a minimum of 5% of working hours or otherwise designated as additional responsibilities.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
**Operation**:
- Must be competent in operating forklifts (optional skid steers) while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Safely transport products in bins, bales, cartons, or on skids between workstations, ensuring timely delivery to meet the production schedule.
- Monitor the production schedule to track material requirements, movements, and deliveries across departments.
- Load, unload, and relocate materials, ensuring proper stacking, accurate documentation, and secured loads.
- Monitor loads for hazardous waste and report any issues or concerns to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
**Pre-Use Inspection & Maintenance**:
- Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and complete the inspection sheet in eCompliance, ensuring all logs are maintained.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment for any issues with brakes, controls, battery, tires, and fluid levels, and report defects immediately.
- Identify and report any non-conformance or irregularities in maintenance logs to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials are stored properly and accessible for retrieval while following safety guidelines and company policies.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required for maintenance.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including proper PPE use and safe material handling, ensure accurate handling to prevent damage or injury, complete inventory paperwork, collaborate with team members to resolve issues, and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager/Supervisor.

**Education and Experience**
- Preferred High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience (operating a forklift with a rotator and/or clamp is preferred) in any industrial or manufacturing setting
- Preferred experience in an electronic recycling facility or manufacturing facility
**Job-specific Knowledge and Skills**
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Demonstrated comprehension of English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience using various hand tools/ air tools/power tools
- Job specific training in identification and classification of materials
- Commitment to personal safety and safety of coworkers
- Autonomous skill and ability to complete tasks
- WHMIS training and familiarity with MSDS standards
**Certifications / Designations**
- Valid Forklift certification or other relevant certifications
**Working Conditions**
- High Exposure to designated substances; Lead.
- High volume of heavy equipment traffic.
- High Exposure to loud noise; vibrations; hot and cold temperatures; dusty conditions, hazardous chemicals.
- Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced warehousing, processing and manufacturing environment.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and repetitive arm movement.
- Wearing of required PPE, respirator, safety glasses, gloves and shoes.
